Help with your Neco Genesis Remote Fob

Your Garolla remote fob makes operating your garage door quick and convenient. On this page, you’ll find step-by-step guidance for pairing your Neco Genesis fob and replacing its battery, so you can keep everything running smoothly.

Neco Genesis fob remote programming

To program your white Neco Genesis fob, you’ll need to access the receiver unit and use the programming button (SW1). Once in programming mode, you can pair your fob so it operates your garage door.

  1. Locate the receiver and programming button Find the receiver unit for your Neco Genesis system. The programming button is usually labeled SW1.
  2. Access the receiver - Remove the front cover of the receiver by unscrewing the Phillips screw underneath. Slide the cover up and away.
  3. Enter programming mode - Press the SW1 button once. A green LED on the receiver will begin to flash slowly.
  4. Program your white fob - Press the circular button on the fob until the LED on the fob flashes quickly.
  5. Confirmation - Once the fob’s LED flashes quickly, programming is complete. Your garage door should now respond to the remote.

Troubleshooting

  • Rolling codes: Some garage door openers use rolling code technology. If so, press the learn button on the opener twice, then press and hold the circular button on your fob until the door operates.
  • Battery check: If the remote doesn’t work, replace the CR2032 3V lithium battery.
  • Power check: Ensure the control box is powered. If not, check your fuse box to confirm no circuits have tripped.

Replacing the battery

You’ll need:

1 × CR2032 coin cell battery

Steps:

  1. Hold the remote with the buttons facing away from you.
  2. Place your thumb on the top centre of the remote and pull the lanyard/string towards you to release the cover.
  3. Lift off the front cover of the remote.
  4. Slide out the old CR2032 battery, noting the orientation (+ side facing up).
  5. Insert the new CR2032 battery in the same orientation.
  6. Replace the front cover.
  7. Test the remote by pressing the circular button to make sure it operates your door.

Tip: Make sure the battery is inserted with the correct polarity. If the fob doesn’t work after replacing the battery, check the contacts are clean and properly seated. Some systems may require reprogramming after battery replacement.
