When it comes to fitting your new electric roller door there are a couple of options available to you. These are face fitting and reveal fitting. But what does this actually mean and how should you make a decision on garage door fitting?

Face fitting
Face fitting your new electric roller garage door involves installing it on the inside of your garage. Your top box and guides are attached to the internal brickwork, which means from the outside all you will see are the slats.
Over 75% of Garolla garage doors are fitted in this way as it maximises the access space into your garage - something that could be particularly important if you park your car in your garage.
This method of fitting is only suitable if you have enough headroom for your top box to sit. To check this, your Garolla engineer will measure the available fixing space from the garage lintel upwards. You can find the various top box dimensions on your chosen product page.
A face fit requires around 20mm longer slats to be used on your garage door, which is why we show a handy price estimate range in our online door builder.

Reveal fitting
Reveal fitting an electric garage door means that the top box and guides are fitted within the opening of your garage. You will see the full door from the outside, however this fitting choice is perfect - or indeed the only option - for those with limited headroom on the inside of their garage which won't accommodate a top box.
Considering that it lowers the entrance height, we would advise choosing a face fit if your garage already has restricted clearance at the entrance but ample headroom height inside.
Reveal fitting a garage door can often be cheaper than face fitting as you'll require slightly shorter slats.
