There are lots of different components that make up a roller shutter garage door. Here at Garolla, we believe that you should know what these components are to help you make the correct decision when purchasing a roller garage door. That’s why this week our blog is going to look at these components.
Garage Door Slats
Slats are the strips of aluminium that overlap to form the main structure of a garage door. Here at Garolla, our slats are twin-walled aluminium and insulated using CFC free foam, this polyurethane helps insulate against sound and also minimises heat loss. We have a total of 21 different anti-corrosive colours that you can choose from that are designed to provide an appealing, long-lasting finish. We also have two different slat options a 55mm slat or a 77mm slat, the difference is that 77mm slats offer increased security and installation to your garage.
The Top Box
The top box is attached to the top of the garage door and fully conceals the barrel mechanism of the door and the door slats when the garage door is open. This box simply gives a neater finish to our roller shutter garage doors.
2 controllers come as standard with all of roller shutter garage doors. These controllers can be kept inside your car so that you are able to open and close your garage without getting out.
A wireless push button also comes as standard with every garage door that is purchased. This button is placed within your garage and allows you garage door to be opened and closed from the inside of your garage, without the use of wireless controllers.
To ensure the quality of our Roller Garage Doors are up to standard, we only use components that have been tested and comply with European legislation. All of our doors are also tested and visually inspected by our in house Quality Control team before being passed fit for despatch to the customer.
